Mother’s Day Bonsai Gifts!
Does your mother, grandma or mum-to-be love flowers? Why not gift her with a flowering or fruiting bonsai that would last a lifetime!
With the correct care, a bonsai will outlive us all.

Our personal favourites to gift a special mother are the Oriental Tea Tree and the Chinese Sweet Plum.

The Oriental Tea Tree (also known as the Carmona Microphylla) is a delightful flowering bonsai. The foliage is a deep, rich green colour which grows dainty white flowers during summer months. The bark is usually a cream colour with lots of texture. The Oriental Tea Tree symbolises courage, heart, love & devotion.

The Chinese Sweet Plum (also known as the Sageretia Theezans) is a gorgeous fruiting bonsai. The foliage is fresh and vibrant, during summer months the foliage tips grow a red/tan colour and beautiful little plum-like fruits will grow. The bark is red-toned with fantastic features throughout. The Chinese Sweet Plum symbolises protection, creativity, new life & warm wishes.

If the mum you are buying for doesn’t like flowers but would still love a bonsai, we highly recommend the Chinese Elm (also known as the Ulmus Parvifolia). The Chinese Elm is a hardy variety of Bonsai which displays a captivating canopy of rich foliage. The Chinese Elm symbolises inner strength, wisdom, intuition & love.

We have created some wonderful Mother’s Day kits this year, some include all of the essentials required for a bonsai. Do not forget to add your gift wrapping or complimentary gift message.
