We are committed to growing and selling bonsai to the highest standards. Ensuring that our bonsai and accessories arrive at your home/work (or gift address) in the same condition as they leave our nursery is of up most importance. All our bonsai leave our nursery in excellent condition and we work closely with our couriers to ensure that they are received as perfectly as they were dispatched.
It is possible for you to specify a delivery date and we will endeavour to meet this date.
You will be notified as to the 1 hour delivery time slot by e-mail/text. If you are not going in you may reply ie. Please leave safe or with a neighbour. You may also change the delivery date by replying to the options if not suitable.
If there is nobody in to accept the delivery a card will be left to inform the recipient how he or she can collect the parcel or arrange re-delivery. It then becomes the recipients’ responsibility to contact the courier and arrange a suitable delivery date. We accept no liability if the delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available. If the recipient fails to contact the courier in good time the goods will be returned to us and a charge will be made for re-delivery to that or an alternative address and any charges which we incur.
It is possible for you to provide us with instructions as to where to leave your delivery if there is no one in to accept it. E.g. In the shed or with a neighbour. Instructions can be left when placing your order.
In the event that you select a business address we shall be deemed to have delivered to its intended recipient by delivering it to the reception area of the business address and receiving from a duly authorised representative a signed receipt of delivery.
We will deliver to the address as you enter it and can not accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect. Additional charges will be made for redirection or for re-delivery due to postcode error. We advise that if you are not sure of the address you should check it using the Post Office postcode and address finding service. We are unable to accept orders for delivery to any address containing a PO Box Number.
We regret we cannot guarantee delivery dates but 99.9% of deliveries are made on the date requested.
Returns and Refunds Policy

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.
Our products can be returned within 7 days of the original purchase of the product. A new product may be exchanged for another product or returned for a refund.
To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:
- The product was purchased in the last 7 days
- The product is in its original packaging
- The product isn’t used or damaged
If the product is a bonsai tree please ensure it is watered and does not dry out. Because bonsai are live plants and are perishable if not cared for correctly, they are exempt from the consumer contracts regulations which came into force on the 13th June 2014.
Products that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for return.

Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a product are non-refundable.
You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the product during shipping, both to and from Bonsai Direct.
