This 26-year-old Larch Bonsai is one of those trees that just commands attention. Bold, beautifully structured, and absolutely full of character, it’s been shaped in the informal upright style and shows all the hallmarks of maturity — strong taper, refined foliage, and seriously impressive bark.
Powerful Larch Bonsai Tree – Grown Slowly in Our Nursery
We’ve nurtured this tree for years here at our nursery. It’s not mass-produced — just slow, patient growing, year after year. That’s what gives it such incredible presence and balance. We’ll be honest… we’ll probably water it one last time and sigh when it sells — but we wouldn’t be in business if we didn’t let go of the bonsai we love.
Root Flare, Trunk & Bark That Tell a Story
Down at the base, the nebari (root flare) is excellent. The surface roots rise proudly from the soil and flow into a powerful trunk with a 5 cm diameter. The bark is flaky and rugged — a sure sign of age and natural development. It has that wild, ancient forest feel that only comes with time.
Structure, Style & Strength
The trunk rises and tapers beautifully, leading your eye right up through the tree. Strong branches radiate confidently from the trunk, set with that lovely bonsai rhythm. There’s a real sense of flow and energy in this tree — it’s powerful, but not overworked. Natural, but carefully guided.

The soft green, needle-like foliage sits in well-defined pads. We’ve pruned and refined it to bring out the best of the Larch’s natural shape. As it stands now, it’s a tree that feels wild but balanced — just the way we like it.
