That is why our beautiful “Friends Are Like Stars” Bonsai Gift Kit makes such a special choice. Combining the calming beauty of bonsai with a heartfelt friendship message, this unique gift celebrates the people who brighten our lives every day.

At Bonsai Direct, we believe gifts should create lasting memories. Therefore, we carefully designed this charming bonsai set to offer both beauty and meaning in one unforgettable package.

Attached to the bonsai is a specially designed wooden hanging tag engraved with the touching words:

“Friends are like stars, you don’t have to see them to know they are there.”

As a result, this bonsai becomes far more than a decorative plant. Instead, it serves as a daily reminder of friendship, love, and support, even when miles apart.

A Beautiful Flowering Bonsai Gift

At the heart of this friendship gift is a stunning S-shaped Fukien Tea Tree bonsai, botanically known as Carmona microphylla. Loved for its elegant twisted trunk and glossy green leaves, this indoor bonsai becomes even more special during the summer months when it produces delicate white flowers.

Because of its beautiful flowering display, the Fukien Tea Tree is one of the most rewarding bonsai varieties to nurture and enjoy indoors.

The Meaning Behind the Fukien Tea Tree

The Fukien Tea Tree symbolises love and heart, making it a thoughtful and meaningful choice for close friendships. This lovely symbolism is also included within our care instructions, adding another heartfelt detail to the gift experience.

Whether you are celebrating a birthday, saying thank you, sending encouragement, or simply reminding a friend how much they mean to you, this bonsai gift delivers a genuine and lasting sentiment.

Perfect for Beginners and Easy to Care For

Not only is this bonsai visually stunning, but it is also suitable for beginners. With the right care and attention, the Fukien Tea Tree thrives indoors and develops even more beauty over time.

To help make bonsai care simple and enjoyable, we include everything needed to get started straight away.

Included in the Gift Kit

  • S-shaped Fukien Tea Tree bonsai (Carmona microphylla)
  • Wooden “Friends Are Like Stars” hanging tag
  • Humidity and drip tray
  • Bonsai pruning scissors
  • Bonsai fertiliser
  • FREE bonsai care instructions

The included humidity tray helps maintain healthy growing conditions while protecting household surfaces. Meanwhile, the pruning scissors and fertiliser allow your recipient to confidently care for and shape their bonsai as it matures.

At Bonsai Direct, our family-run nursery carefully nurtures every bonsai with expertise, passion, and sustainable growing practices. Consequently, every tree arrives healthy, established, and ready to enjoy.

Add a Personal Touch to Your Friendship Gift

To make your gift even more special, you can personalise your bonsai package once it has been added to your basket. Choose from luxury gift wrap, personalised tags, and thoughtful finishing touches to create a truly unique present.

In addition, you can also include a beautiful greetings card during checkout to share your own heartfelt message.

A Lasting Friendship Gift They Will Treasure

Unlike traditional presents that fade or are quickly forgotten, a bonsai tree continues to grow and flourish over time. Therefore, it becomes a lasting symbol of friendship, appreciation, and shared memories.

Beautifully presented and full of meaning, our “Friends Are Like Stars” Bonsai Gift Kit is one of the most thoughtful gift ideas for friends who deserve something truly special.
