The Chinese Elm – Reliable, Structured and Rewarding

The Chinese Elm is an evergreen bonsai known for its small serrated leaves and graceful branching. It responds well to pruning, which allows you to refine its shape over time. The twist in the trunk adds character, while the canopy develops density with consistent care.

You can keep it indoors in a bright position throughout the year, where it will remain evergreen. It may also be placed outdoors, provided you protect it from frost during winter – it may become semi deciduous. Each tree grows individually, so natural variation in trunk movement and branch placement gives every bonsai its own character.

You will receive the 12-year-old S-shaped Chinese Elm planted in its blue ceramic pot. The kit also includes a dark-coloured drip tray to catch excess water and help maintain humidity.
