Description
Beautiful 12-Year-Old Twisty Chinese Elm – A Wonderful Christmas Bonsai Present
Give a Christmas present that feels thoughtful, long-lasting, and full of natural charm. This 12-year-old Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia) bonsai is a beautiful, shapely, larger indoor tree. They make a meaningful festive gift for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Its elegant informal-upright structure, twisty trunk, and rich green leaves create a calming woodland feel in any home.
A Mature Indoor Bonsai with Timeless Woodland Character
This larger Chinese Elm has been shaped over many years to create an expressive s-shaped trunk with clean lines and well-spaced branches. Its twiggy canopy forms a classic woodland silhouette, making it an ideal centrepiece for a living room, office, or quiet reading corner. The deep navy blue ceramic pot enhances the warm tones of the bark and the vibrant foliage, creating a balanced and elegant display.
Each bonsai in this kit is supplied with a dark drip tray, and a detailed Bonsai Direct care handbook. We also add a small bottle of bonsai fertiliser and a pair of pruning scissors so your recipient can enjoy the creative side of styling from the very first day.
A festive snowflake “Merry Christmas” wooden tag completes the gift and adds a cheerful seasonal touch.
Symbolism That Makes This Gift Extra Special
The Chinese Elm is known as the “tree of harmony”. It symbolises inner strength, intuition, wisdom, and love — qualities that feel especially meaningful during the Christmas season. This makes the tree not only a beautiful decorative piece, but a heartfelt, symbolic way to share encouragement, positivity, and warmth with someone special.
This bonsai carries a message that lasts long after the festive celebrations. Whether gifted to a loved one, a family member, or a friend who appreciates nature.
