Beginner’s Father’s Day Tree – Complete Chinese Elm Bonsai Gift Set

Comprehensive Father’s Day Tree – Beginners Chinese Elm Bonsai Starter Kit

Looking for a Father’s Day tree that feels impressive yet genuinely easy to care for? This comprehensive beginners starter kit centres around a beautifully styled 8-year-old Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia), making it an ideal introduction to bonsai for Dad.

Why the Chinese Elm is Perfect for Beginners

The Chinese Elm is one of the most recommended bonsai species for newcomers. It grows steadily, adapts well to bright indoor conditions and forgives the occasional watering mistake. Because it establishes strong roots and responds well to pruning, beginners quickly gain confidence.

This 8-year-old specimen features an elegant S-shaped, twisty trunk and rich green foliage that forms a balanced, tree-like canopy. Its proportions mirror a mature woodland tree in miniature, which makes it especially rewarding to own and shape. When grown indoors with good light, it remains evergreen, so Dad enjoys year-round colour and structure.

The Chinese Elm symbolises inner strength, intuition, wisdom and love — qualities that make it a meaningful Father’s Day tree gift.

A Fully Comprehensive Father’s Day Starter Kit

We have designed this Father’s Day tree as a complete kit, so everything needed comes included:

• 8-year-old S-shaped Chinese Elm bonsai

• Navy blue ceramic pot

• Dark drip tray to protect surfaces

• Bonsai fertiliser (one bottle of concentrate lasts approximately one year)

• Bonsai pruning scissors

• Bonsai care handbook

• Wooden “Best Dad” tag hanging from the branch

• Watering can – choose from sage green, forest green, duck egg blue, midnight blue, recycled black or cheerful red

The pruning scissors allow Dad to shape and refine his tree, while the fertiliser supports strong, healthy growth for months to come. The care handbook provides clear, practical guidance. Meanwhile, the choice of watering can colour lets you tailor the gift to suit his personality or space.

A Gift That Grows with Him

Unlike short-lived presents, this Father’s Day tree continues to grow and develop over time. As Dad prunes, feeds and waters it, he builds a hobby that encourages patience and creativity. In turn, the bonsai becomes a lasting reminder of appreciation and connection.

You can personalise the gift further by adding optional extras such as gift wrap, balloons or additional wooden tags at checkout.

We offer free next working day delivery to most UK addresses, or you can choose your preferred delivery date to ensure perfect timing.

For a Father’s Day tree that combines symbolism, practicality and long-term enjoyment, this beginners Chinese Elm bonsai starter kit offers everything needed to surprise and impress.
