Comprehensive Twisty & Twiggy Father’s Day Bonsai Set – 12 years old Larger Size

Comprehensive Twisty Chinese Elm Father’s Day Bonsai Gift – 12 Years Old

If you are looking for a Father’s Day bonsai gift that feels impressive, meaningful and complete, this larger 12-year-old Chinese Elm set is one of our most highly recommended choices. Well-established and beautifully styled, it offers both strong visual presence and easy care — making it perfect for beginners.

A Larger, More Established Bonsai

This 12-year-old Ulmus parvifolia displays a graceful S-shaped trunk with natural twist and movement. The structure feels balanced and mature, while the rich green serrated leaves form a full, tidy canopy. Because this is a larger, well-rooted specimen, it sits in a slightly bigger pot, which holds more moisture and makes day-to-day care more forgiving.

Potted in a navy blue ceramic pot and supplied with a dark-coloured drip tray, it presents beautifully and protects surfaces at the same time.

The Perfect Starter Kit for Dad

This comprehensive Father’s Day bonsai gift includes everything needed to begin with confidence:

• 12-year-old Chinese Elm bonsai

• Navy blue ceramic pot

• Dark drip tray

• Bonsai pruning scissors

• Bottle of bonsai feed

• Bonsai Direct care handbook

• Free basic care instructions

• “Happy Father’s Day” foil balloon

The inclusion of scissors and fertiliser allows Dad to actively enjoy pruning and shaping his tree. The care handbook provides clear guidance, making the experience enjoyable from the very start.

Why the Chinese Elm is Ideal

The Chinese Elm, sometimes referred to as Zelkova, is widely regarded as one of the best indoor bonsai species for beginners. It grows reliably, responds well to pruning and develops attractive twiggy ramification that resembles a mature woodland tree in miniature form.

Known as “The Tree of Harmony,” it symbolises inner strength, intuition, wisdom and love. As a Father’s Day bonsai gift, it carries a powerful message of stability, calm and appreciation.

A Gift That Grows with Him

Unlike short-lived presents, this bonsai continues to grow and develop over time. It brings focus, tranquillity and a sense of achievement to any bright indoor space. The larger size and established root system make it particularly rewarding to care for.

You can personalise your Father’s Day bonsai gift with optional gift wrap, accessories and a gift message at checkout. Free delivery is available to most UK addresses, and you can choose your preferred delivery date.
