A Beautiful Fukien Tea Tree Bonsai

The Fukien Tea Tree, Carmona microphylla, is a highly regarded indoor bonsai known for its fine detail and gentle presence. It features naturally small, waxy green leaves set against creamy, lightly textured bark, which gives the tree a mature and calming appearance. Moreover, during the summer months, delicate white flowers appear across the branches, adding a soft seasonal highlight. As a result, this bonsai feels rewarding and full of life, much like a close friendship.

Styling, Shape & Character

This bonsai displays a graceful, twisty trunk with classic Oriental movement. Because of this natural flow, it feels expressive without appearing formal. Its evergreen nature ensures it remains attractive throughout the year, rather than being enjoyed for a single season. Additionally, its balanced size makes it ideal for a windowsill, desk, or side table, where your friend can enjoy it every day.

Why This Bonsai Is Easy to Care For

Fukien Tea Tree bonsai adapt well to warm indoor environments and suit beginners with ease. Because of their steady growth habit and compact leaves, they respond well to simple care routines. Place the bonsai in a bright room away from cold draughts and keep the soil gently moist. Apply the included bonsai fertiliser weekly to encourage new growth and flowers. With this straightforward approach, caring for the bonsai becomes calming and enjoyable.

Pot, Accessories & Friendship Presentation

This meaningful best friend gift comes planted in a blue ceramic pot and includes a humidity/drip tray for practical indoor display. In addition, the set includes pruning scissors and a bottle of bonsai fertiliser to support long-term care.
