Description

Pyracantha Bonsai Tree in Royal Blue Pot | Elegant Trunk Flow & Fiery Orange Berries

This beautiful Pyracantha bonsai is a 10-year-old, fully hardy evergreen with incredible structure and year-round colour. We has styled this tree with great care, allowing the exposed surface roots to rise proudly from the soil before merging into a wonderfully elegant trunk flow. The movement feels natural, balanced and artistic — exactly what you hope to see in a premium Pyracantha.

Potted into a brand-new royal blue ceramic bonsai pot, the composition looks sensational. The deep blue glaze intensifies the bright orange berries and lifts the glossy green foliage, giving the whole tree a vibrant, energetic presence. The pot’s soft curved edges complement the gentle, flowing line of the trunk and create a calm, refined display.

This is the exact bonsai you will receive.

A Species Loved for Its Colour & Character

The Pyracantha, often called Firethorn, is a favourite outdoor bonsai for good reason. It brings seasonal drama and rewarding growth in every stage of the year. In late spring, it erupts with clusters of pure white flowers that cover the canopy like soft blossom clouds. These blooms attract bees and other pollinators, bringing life and movement to your garden.

As summer fades, the flowers transform into tight clusters of bright orange berries. These fruits glow like tiny lanterns and often last well into winter. Birds such as blackbirds and thrushes adore them, adding another delightful layer of interaction to this living artwork.

The evergreen leaves are small, glossy and deep green. They create a dense, refined canopy that looks tidy and elegant in every season.

Maintenance
Positioning: Place outside in a bright, sunny position for most of the year. Pyracanthas love full sun but will also cope with light shade. In winter, keep outdoors in a sheltered spot; they are hardy but appreciate protection from severe frost and icy winds.

Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist. Check daily in warm weather and water thoroughly when the top layer begins to dry. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely.

Feeding: Apply bonsai fertiliser weekly during the growing season, following the instructions on the bottle. Regular feeding supports flowering and berry production.

Pruning: Trim new shoots to maintain shape and encourage dense, compact growth. Prune lightly after flowering if needed, taking care not to remove developing berries.

Repotting: Repot every 2 years in early spring using a free-draining bonsai soil. Pyracanthas appreciate fresh soil to support their vigorous growth.

Note: Hardy and outdoor-loving, Pyracantha bonsai can remain outside all year. Provide protection during extreme cold spells to safeguard the roots and berries.
