This awesome Bonsai we have named Ernie the Elm. He is a very special 17-year-old Easy Care Bonsai Tree from a premium indoor collection, beautifully potted into a traditional blue glazed ceramic Bonsai Pot with matching drip tray.

Where to start… His trunk flow is truly wondrous. It is very powerful and thick, with a beautiful taper and twisting design. Supporting strong branches and lush bright green leaves the overall appearance of Ernie is sensational.

In the Bonsai tree world the Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia) it’s considered to be a top variety for beginners. It is worthy of this title for many reasons; the fantastic miniature proportions natural leaves – they really are the perfect size! Also, its ease of care and adaptability to many different locations. This Bonsai will thrive in warmer and cooler rooms and is ideal for the home or an office environment. It will also grow beautifully outside in the garden or on the decking, between the months of April and October. We would however, recommend the protect it from extreme frost even though it is considered to be a frost hardy variety.
