Repotting Guidance
Repotting is undertaken to prevent your bonsai tree from becoming pot bound. If the roots become pot bound the bonsai cannot grow and it will start to deteriorate. Check for signs such as compacted soil or visible roots emerging from the drainage holes — these indicate it’s time to repot.
Indoor bonsai: Best repotted between May and September.
Outdoor deciduous bonsai: Repot in early March before buds open.
Evergreen bonsai (e.g. Junipers and Pines): Repot in early spring around March.
Our included repotting kit ensures you have everything required for successful, stress-free repotting, promoting healthy growth and lasting beauty.
