Discover the charm of our adorable 5-year-old tiny bonsai tree collection. These beautifully shaped baby bonsai may be small in size, but they carry wonderful character, meaning, and presence. Each one is carefully grown in our nursery and planted in a classic navy blue ceramic pot, with the option to add a matching drip tray if required.

Our tiny bonsai trees are perfect for desks, shelves, windowsills, or thoughtful gifts. At five years old, they already show lovely trunk movement and established structure, while remaining compact and easy to position in any space.
You can choose from four beautiful species:
Chinese Elm – Ulmus parvifolia
A true classic. The Chinese Elm is one of the most loved bonsai species thanks to its elegant trunk flow and neat foliage. It symbolises intuition, inner strength, love, and wisdom. It is resilient, forgiving, and an excellent choice for beginners.
Aromatic Pepper – Zanthoxylum piperitum
The Pepper bonsai features small glossy leaves and a distinctive, zesty fragrance when pruned – it can fill a room! It brings texture and vibrancy to any room. Traditionally, it symbolises protection, purification, healing, peace & harmony.
Fukien Tea Tree – Carmona microphylla
The Fukien Tea Tree is a charming indoor favourite. It produces tiny dark green leaves and flowers with delicate white blooms in the right conditions. It represents courage, heart, love & devotion. Perfect for warm rooms, as the Tea Tree does not like being cold – keep the soil barely damp.
Roseapple / Myrtle (Exposed Root) – Syzygium buxifolium
Our exposed root Roseapple, sometimes known as Myrtle, offers wonderful visual interest with its raised root structure. These bonsai grow pretty blush-pink / red foliage tips during summer, accompanied by flowers. The flowers are followed by small cherry-like fruits once the bonsai is slightly more mature. It symbolises love, good fortune, long life & joyful living. The exposed roots add extra character and make each tiny bonsai tree feel unique.
Navy Ceramic Pot & Optional Matching Tray
Each tiny bonsai tree comes planted in a navy blue ceramic pot that beautifully contrasts with the fresh green foliage. For added practicality, you can choose to include the matching ceramic drip tray at checkout.
Easy to Care For
These tiny bonsai trees are rewarding and straightforward to grow. Place in a bright and stable position, water when the soil surface just begins to dry, and apply bonsai fertiliser weekly to encourage new growth and flowers. Be careful of direct summer sun, daylight through peak temperatures should be indirect. We include a printed care guide to help you get started with confidence.

The Oriental Tea Tree (Carmona microphylla) is a simple & elegant bonsai ideal for growing indoors. This bonsai has pretty white flowers during summer months & lovely green, shiny & waxy foliage. The leaves are unusually shaped & well proportioned. The leaves grow in neat clusters allowing the flowers and branch structure to be highly visible. A highly appealing & artistic bonsai.
Rose Apple (Myrtle -Syzygium Buxifolium)
The stunning Syzygium Buxifolium indoor beginners bonsai is a native species to South Africa and is commonly called a Roseapple/Brush Cherry or Myrtle. They get their names from the small bright red fruits which have a cherry-like appearance.
Additionally, beautiful soft cream flowers precede the fruits are have wonderful long stamens which give them a star-burst appearance.
The leaves of this species are naturally small in size giving this bonsai as naturally dainty stature. The new leaves are often flushed with a blush-red colour and fade to a dark green. A easy variety to grow and ideal for beginners.
The Sweet Aromatic Pepper Tree Bonsai (Zanthoxylum piperitum) has a fresh, zesty fragrance and bright green glossy foliage. It displays small clusters of tiny white flowers and the bark is fissured, adding character and age to this very elegant and exciting bonsai. Great for beginners. A free care guide is included with all bonsai trees. The exciting pepper tree symbolises purification, healing and protection. What an inspired gift idea.
