“This really is such a quirky little bonsai—I have to say, it makes me smile every time I look at it. The exposed root flare is full of character, and I love how the roots rise and then melt seamlessly into the base of the trunk. The bark has that naturally aged, flaky texture that gives it a real sense of maturity. The feature Shari adds to its character. The branches are well spaced too, giving it a clean, uncluttered look. It’s now November 2025, and I honestly think this bonsai just keeps getting better with time.
