This indoor bonsai boasts gnarly trunk texture and excellent shape, captivating all. The brilliant branch styling creates a mesmerising canopy of tiny miniature leaves. An evergreen bonsai when grown indoors – showing off all year round interest and colour.
This gorgeous bonsai showcases characteristic features, including sensational root flare and neat miniature leaves. The little leaves are perfectly proportioned with the size of this very natural bonsai.
“Although this is a larger Chinese Elm bonsai, it still feels compact and manageable at just 40 cm in height. I’ve been growing this tree for well over a decade – originally imported from China as a young plant, I’ve carefully nurtured and developed it into the refined specimen it is today.
What I love most about this bonsai is its sensational, highly refined structure. The foliage pads are full, lush, and immaculately neat, creating a beautifully rounded canopy with just the right amount of space between the branches. The trunk has a gentle, natural twist that adds character without feeling forced.
It’s very tastefully potted in a brand-new metallic green ceramic pot with a matching drip tray, which really finishes the tree off beautifully. The aged, flaky bark is another highlight – a sure sign of maturity – and it contrasts perfectly with the dense, compact foliage.
This is a truly superb example of a dwarf Chinese Elm bonsai, worlds apart from mass-produced trees. Its compact nature and highly detailed refinement make it a standout for any collector who appreciates quality and maturity.”
