Monthly Outstanding Offer – Fukien Tea Tree Bonsai Starter Kit
A Top Indoor Bonsai Kit for Beginners | 8-Year-Old Carmona microphylla
If you are looking for a reliable and rewarding indoor bonsai to begin your journey, this Monthly Outstanding Offer provides excellent value. This complete beginner-friendly bonsai kit features an elegant 8-year-old Fukien Tea Tree (Carmona microphylla), carefully styled by our expert growers. As a result, it offers the perfect introduction to indoor bonsai.
The Fukien Tea Tree is one of the most popular indoor bonsai species. It produces small, glossy dark green leaves that remain attractive throughout the year. In addition, the tree regularly produces delicate white star-shaped flowers that contrast beautifully with the rich evergreen foliage. At eight years old, this bonsai already shows maturity and balanced proportions, making it both visually appealing and easy to maintain.
What’s Included in This Indoor Bonsai Kit
This top indoor bonsai kit includes everything needed to begin successfully:
• An 8-year-old Carmona microphylla Fukien Tea Tree bonsai • A dark drip tray to protect surfaces and help maintain humidity • 100ml liquid bonsai fertiliser, providing approximately one year of feeding • Bonsai pruning scissors for shaping and maintenance • A comprehensive printed Bonsai Direct care handbook
Together, these items create a complete starter kit that removes uncertainty and helps beginners care for their bonsai with confidence.
The Beauty of the Fukien Tea Tree Bonsai
The Fukien Tea Tree bonsai offers year-round beauty and charm. Its small, slightly textured leaves create dense foliage, while the glossy dark green colour reflects light and enhances the tree’s elegant structure.
During the growing season, delicate white flowers appear across the branches. Occasionally, these blooms may develop into tiny decorative berries. Consequently, the tree provides continuous interest and seasonal variation.
Because this species responds well to pruning, growers can easily maintain a compact shape. Over time, careful trimming encourages fine branching and a refined bonsai silhouette.
Easy Care for Beginners
The Fukien Tea Tree grows well indoors when placed in a bright position with good natural light. Water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist, and feed weekly during the growing season to support healthy growth and flowering.
In addition, occasional misting helps maintain humidity, particularly when central heating dries the indoor air. With regular light pruning, this bonsai remains compact, attractive and easy to care for.
This bonsai has a beautiful tree meaning. It symbolises courage, heart, love and devotion. This is printed on the care guide included with your bonsai tree.

Monthly Outstanding Offer – Fukien Tea Tree Bonsai Starter Kit
A Professional Beginner Kit Recommended by Bonsai Specialist Holly
If you have ever wanted to begin your bonsai journey but felt unsure where to start, our Monthly Outstanding Offer provides the ideal introduction. This carefully curated kit includes everything you need to grow and care for a beautiful flowering Fukien Tea Tree bonsai, making it a confident and rewarding choice for beginners.
A Characterful Bonsai with Elegant Natural Styling
At the heart of this kit sits a striking 8-year-old Fukien Tea Tree (Carmona microphylla) bonsai. This species is admired for its compact growth, glossy evergreen foliage and delicate white star-shaped flowers.
The leaves are naturally small, deep green and slightly textured, which gives the tree a refined and mature appearance. Under good conditions, the tree produces clusters of tiny white blossoms that stand out beautifully against the dark green foliage. Occasionally these flowers may even develop into small decorative berries.
“The Fukien Tea Tree is one of my favourite indoor bonsai,” says Holly. “It has such a beautiful glossy leaf and produces charming little white flowers. It looks delicate and refined, yet it responds very well to careful pruning and regular care.”
Essential Accessories for a Thriving Bonsai
This offer focuses on the full growing experience, not just the tree itself. Every element in the kit supports confident care from day one.
✔️ Drip Tray – Designed to catch excess water, protect furniture and help maintain suitable humidity around the bonsai. “It’s a small addition, but it makes everyday care much easier,” Holly explains.
✔️ Concentrated Bonsai Fertiliser (100ml) – A carefully balanced formula that lasts up to a year, supplying essential nutrients to encourage healthy foliage and flowering. “Feeding regularly keeps the Fukien Tea Tree strong and helps encourage those lovely little flowers,” says Holly.
✔️ Bonsai Pruning Scissors – A precise, easy-to-use tool that allows you to shape your bonsai accurately. Regular trimming encourages finer branching and keeps the tree compact and elegant.
✔️ Bonsai Direct Care Handbook – A comprehensive printed guide filled with clear, professional advice on watering, pruning and positioning. “Even complete beginners feel confident once they have this handbook,” Holly reassures.
A Fantastic Starter Kit at Outstanding Value
With free next working day delivery available to most UK addresses, you can begin enjoying your bonsai almost immediately. Alternatively, you may select a preferred delivery date, making this kit an excellent gift option.
“This is one of the best value starter kits we offer,” Holly adds. “You receive a beautiful, mature Fukien Tea Tree bonsai along with the right tools and guidance to care for it properly. Whether you are buying for yourself or as a gift, it’s a wonderful way to bring living artistry into the home.”
Bonsai expert Holly literally grew up with a pair of bonsai scissors in her hand. As Lloyd’s eldest daughter, Holly has benefitted from growing up on the nursery. Despite being in her early twenties, Holly already has many years of bonsai experience under her belt. She is passionate about the environment and environmental issues and wants to continue the journey her parents have started.
