Description

16-Year-Old Evergreen Juniper Bonsai | Styled by Hand

This exceptional 16-year-old Evergreen Juniper (Juniperus chinensis) bonsai is a true showcase of artistry and horticultural skill. Expertly styled by Bonsai Master Lloyd Noall of Bonsai Direct.

Exquisite Design & Styling

Potted in a sleek Japanese blue rectangular bonsai pot with rounded corners, the tree’s powerful form is enhanced by its container’s modern yet refined aesthetic. The trunk displays captivating curves and sweeping movement, with branches perfectly positioned on the outside of each curve. An approach recognised as best practice in bonsai design.

The lower branch adds a sense of depth and foreground, while the clean, uncluttered trunk tapers gracefully upward, creating harmony between strength and delicacy. Achieving this much refined character in a tree standing just 34cm tall is a true testament to Lloyd Noall’s artistry.

Specification
Bonsai Variety

Chinese Juniper (Juniperus chinensis)A bonsai favourite. This wonderful evergreen bonsai has it all - naturally small foliage, incredible character throughout the trunk and branches, it’s evergreen and has beautiful flaky bark. The juvenile foliage of the juniper is spiky but as it matures soft ‘pads’ of foliage are formed. The juniper responds very well to training by pruning and wiring. Please be careful to check the wire weekly to prevent scaring. Junipers will tolerate a very sunny position and like to be kept on the dry side, in a free draining soil. Very hardy.
