This is an exquisite indoor bonsai with immense character and twiggy structure.
The Chinese Elm is a bonsai favourite, with perfectly proportioned leaves, making this a great tree to give as a gift.
The serpentine trunk has kinks in the curves where the trunk almost comes back onto itself. The textured bark and gnarly features add character.
The branches are well placed with fantastic foliage pads, they give the tree a very leafy appearance.
Comes in a hand decorated unglazed beige ceramic pot, with a matching ceramic drip tray.
It is easy to care for so makes a great beginners bonsai and can be great fun to style.
I love the curves on this sophisticated Chinese Elm, the tree looks as though it is trying to wrap around itself. The neat pads on this tree have a twiggy structure which will allow you to create your own foliage shape.

The Chinese Elm (Ulmus parviflolia) makes a truly beautiful bonsai with small bright green leaves. The tree has excellent twig structure and has great character throughout, making it the perfect representation of a woodland tree. In our opinion the Chinese Elm is the most perfectly proportioned, easy to care for and adaptable tree and makes a superb bonsai; which can be grown either indoors or outdoors.
