Stylish evergreen Durantha repens “Variegata” bonsai tree with shari trunk feature!
This bonsai is a gently twisty Durantha repens “Variegata”. It is recognised by its evergreen nature and covered with green and white variegated leaves. It’s still in its youthful stage, ready for growth and more styling! Throughout the warmer seasons, it blossoms lovely purple flowers! Comes potted in a vibrant blue ceramic pot along with a matching drip tray. The shari feature on the trunk is fantastic!
In summer, it thrives in warm temperatures, but it’s best to shelter it indoors for the remainder of the year. Alternatively, it can thrive indoors all year long. Just ensure it’s placed in a room or greenhouse without central heating. When kept outdoors, the flowers attract butterflies and birds!
When styling this bonsai, it is important to be careful as the branches can be delicate and have very sharp thorns. This bonsai does not like being overwatered, allow the very top layer to just dry out before watering again.
This variety is known for symbolising serenity and the majesty of nature in miniature form.
