Chinese Juniper Bonsai – Grown by Lloyd Noall | 20 Years Old
This elegant Chinese Juniper has been carefully styled by renowned bonsai artist Lloyd Noall, who’s been growing bonsai for over 40 years. It’s a brilliant example of classic bonsai design—clean, simple, and beautifully balanced.
Around 20 years old and standing just 40cm tall, this semi-formal upright juniper has an expressive trunk with natural movement and gently layered foliage pads. The slender branches give it a light, refined feel, while the aged bark shows lovely texture and maturity.
The dense, evergreen foliage forms neat, compact pads in shades of deep green and blue-green. In full sun, it can pick up a silvery shimmer, and in cooler weather, it may take on bronze or purple tones. It’s a low-maintenance tree that suits those with a bit of bonsai experience.
Potted in a mottled blue ceramic pot, this bonsai is striking but never showy—it’s all about understated beauty and natural form.
