Tiny Cherry Blossom (Prunus incisa ‘Kojo-no-mai’) Bonsai Tree for Sale – 4-Year-Old Outdoor Starter Kit
A Beautiful Cherry Blossom Bonsai Tree for Sale – Perfect for Beginners
Discover the delicate beauty of spring with this tiny 4-year-old Cherry Blossom bonsai tree for sale, a charming dwarf outdoor variety also known as the Fuji Cherry or Prunus incisa ‘Kojo-no-mai’. This tiny starter bonsai offers wonderful potential for growing, shaping, and styling over time. Thoughtfully assembled into a complete beginners kit, it provides everything needed to nurture a young outdoor bonsai right from the start.
Please note: This is a starter bonsai, not a full-grown tree. It arrives naturally leafless during winter dormancy. Fresh buds will appear in February/March. This is a generic photograph, so natural variation in shape and appearance should be expected.
This hardy deciduous Cherry Blossom bonsai displays a striking zigzag twig structure that remains attractive even in winter. In early spring, crimson buds open into dainty white blossoms brushed with soft pink and a deeper pink centre. Summer brings pale green leaves that deepen in colour, while autumn transforms the tree into a cascade of glowing reds, oranges, and golds. Small ornamental cherry fruits may follow.

Bonsai Variety
Prunus Incisa 'Kojo-no-mai' is a species of flowering plant in the family Rosacea. It is a very small Fuji Cherry tree with zig-zagging branches and an abundance of flowers. Just as winter ends in early March, the tree bursts into life with lots of white, delicate looking flowers with pink centres. The foliage is serrated, with new foliage having a bronzed tinge and taking on a bright orange colour in the autumn. A dainty slow-growing, early white-flowering cherry, in Japan it is highly regarded as an ornamental tree.

Expert Opinion from Lloyd Noall, Master Grower at Bonsai Direct
“The Cherry Blossom has been one of my favourite outdoor varieties to grow for as long as I can remember. Even at this young stage, you can already see the personality forming — those little zigzag branches hint at the structure it will proudly show in years to come. I’ve grown thousands of these over the decades, and they still have a way of surprising me each spring.
What I’ve always loved about this species is how honest it is. It doesn’t hide anything. In winter, it stands there bare and beautifully architectural. Then almost overnight in February or March, the buds swell and colour up, and suddenly you’re looking at a tree full of delicate pink-tinged blossom. It’s one of those moments that never gets old, no matter how long you’ve been growing bonsai.
For beginners, this little Cherry Blossom is a brilliant teacher. It shows you the seasons clearly, responds well to simple care, and rewards patience in a way few other trees do. Give it a sheltered, sunny spot, water it regularly, and enjoy watching it change. It’s a small tree with a big amount of charm — and if you’re anything like me, you’ll find yourself looking forward to its spring display each year.”
