The Chinese Elm – Evergreen Foliage and Elegant Branching
The Chinese Elm is an evergreen bonsai known for its small serrated leaves and naturally graceful branching. Its twiggy structure responds very well to pruning, which allows you to refine the canopy and develop dense ramification over time. As the tree matures, the trunk gains more texture and character while the foliage forms a balanced and refined silhouette.
At 12 years old, the bonsai already shows strong trunk movement and well-spaced branches. You can keep it indoors in a bright position throughout the year. It may also be placed outdoors in warmer months, provided you protect it from hard frost – please note it may become semi deciduous.
