This is an ‘informal-upright-style’ Beginners Chinese Elm Tree from our premium indoor bonsai collection. This 9 year-old bonsai displays stunning attributes, including textured bark with aged features and an ‘informal upright’ trunk. Also, a beautifully twiggy branch structure. Its vibrant leaves in rich green shades create a lush canopy. The stout stature adds unique character!

This stunning little bonsai exemplifies the beauty of the Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia). A strong trunk design with textured bark, naturally miniature leaves, hardy and evergreen. Superb character and proportions throughout and easy care. Additionally, it is not fussy about location and is extremely robust and adaptable to new environments.

A Fun Indoor Plant for Indoor Gardening

The Chinese Elm is a relatively quick growing species of bonsai, which allows for faster development of the bonsai’s overall appearance. It also makes it more fun as you can enjoy the relaxing time with your little tree, whilst pruning.

Most of the year the leaves are vivid green but during spring and autumn it is not unusual to enjoy reddish tinges. These tend to be the newer leaves; the growing tips.

This Chinese Elm tree is potted into a brand new deep blue glazed ceramic pot, accompanied by a drip tray.
