The Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) is a lovely broadleaved bonsai with pretty leaf stalks in pinkie-red.
- Small, green-yellow-lime flowers hang in spikes, or ‘racemes’ and the autumn fruits have a distinctive ‘winged-shape’ fondly known as ‘helicopters’.

The Silver Birch (Betula pendula) is a graceful broadleaved bonsai with delicate, white bark and finely serrated leaves that shimmer in the breeze.

I really enjoy the colours and shape of the leaves on this young Hardy Bonsai Saplings Copse. The pink/red stems of the sycamore compared to the silver colours of the Silver Birch, add beautiful variation! The three trunks are formed from 2 sycamore saplings and 1 silver birch.
