This exciting Japanese Maple has several attributes. This stunning variety of Japanese Red Maple will keep its red colour better than others when in some shade. The new growth comes out dark-purple but then turns red by summer. The autumnal/fall colour is a brilliant rich red that can offer an effect that is stunning when back lit by morning or evening sun.
This variety of maple displays lovely red/green coloured foliage, that changes colour with each season, arranged into several layers.
The exposed roots add character at the base of the tree, and lead up to the strong trunk, which has a lightning-strike style split.
A very striking hardy deciduous bonsai variety, perfect for any outdoor space.
Comes potted into a colourful royal blue ceramic pot which will add a vibrant pop of colour to any space.
The name ‘Shojo Nomura’ means ‘beautiful red faced monkey’.
