A very pretty Deep Red Maple bonsai in a classically styled ceramic pot. Tapering gently upwards, the brilliantly textured trunk splits, creating a brilliant image. Acer palmatum ‘Inaba-shidare’ is an award-winning bonsai tree with filigree-like purple foliage that emerges striking red. In autumn the feathery leaves turn vivid scarlet red for a vibrant display.
Incredibly coloured, strong trunk, leading down to artistically styled exposed roots.
The leaf shape, red spring and autumn colour and beautiful foliage pads are all lovely. Known in Latin as the Acer palmatum due to its palm-shaped leaves.

This charming bonsai species ‘Inaba-shidare’ is an RHS award winning cultivar of Japanese Red Maple with arching branches. Leaves deep purple, deeply divided into incised lobes, and becoming crimson in autumn. Flowers purple. ‘Inaba shidare’ is an excellent weeping red Japanese maple. This red laceleaf Japanese maple cultivar is pendulous but with a very arching effect. The leaf is medium sized with brilliant shades of deep burgundy and maroon. The autumn colour is a scarlet red.
