This is a young, fluttering Ash bonsai tree which has a gentle trunk flow. Ideal starter bonsai with fantastic movement in the trunk flow. Very easy to care for so perfect for complete beginners. A fast growing bonsai so great to have some fun growing and styling.
In Norse mythology, ash was known as the ‘Tree of Life’ and the first man on Earth was said to have come from an ash tree. The ash tree was thought to have medicinal and mystical properties, the wood was burned to ‘ward off evil spirits’. Still today it is sometimes known as the ‘Venus of the woods’.
The Ash grows purple flowers which appear before the leaves in spring. In late summer and Autumn, winged fruits or ‘keys’ will grow; they will then fall from the tree in winter.
This is a delightful little tree, potted into a cream pot, ready to be grown on and enjoyed.
I really enjoy the gently curved shape of the trunk, the light coloured bark really stands out against the light pot. These Ash bonsai are looking striking. Highly recommended.
