This is a fantastic Fukien Tea Tree also know as the ‘Carmona Microphylla‘. This evergreen, indoor bonsai is a suburb example for bonsai artistry. Furthermore, this bonsai is ideal for beginners and those with warm rooms. During summer, pretty white flowers will float amongst the glossy lush leaves leaving you in true tranquility. The trunk has unique shaping with cream-coloured, textured bark. The flowers and naturally small leaves literally shine against the glossy bronze glaze of the ceramic pot. The pot is supplied with a matching drip tray.
In bonsai, Sabamiki refers to a style where the trunk is deliberately hollowed, split, or carved to mimic the natural damage caused by lightning strikes, storms, or decay over time. The word sabamiki literally means “hollowed trunk” in Japanese. This technique creates the impression of a tough, weathered tree that has survived harsh conditions, showcasing resilience and age.
