Caring for your Syzygium Bonsai Tree

This tree prefers bright, indirect light and humidity. Thus, making it ideal for placement near a sunny window with perhaps a humidity tray underneath to enhance moisture around its foliage. This is more important during winter months when the central heating is on. Please note the humidity /drip tray is included. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, and reduce watering in the winter months. The soil should feel firm and just damp. Feed every week with a balanced bonsai fertiliser throughout the year to support its health and vigour. Pruning is also important to maintain its shape and promote a dense, attractive canopy. Additionally, periodic repotting every two to three years helps refresh the soil and prevent root crowding. This is known as a plant becoming pot bound, which should be prevented for maintaining a healthy root system and overall plant vitality.
