Chinese Juniper Bonsai Care
Light Requirements: Chinese Juniper bonsai thrive in full sun to partial shade, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth.
Watering: While they prefer well-draining soil, Chinese Junipers are drought-tolerant once established. Regular watering is essential, but care should be taken to avoid overwatering.
Feeding: Remember to feed these bonsai once a week with our liquid bonsai fertiliser during March – October.
Pruning: Regular pruning is crucial to maintain the desired shape and promote dense foliage growth. This can be done throughout the growing season. Use your finger and thumb to pinch the tips out to keep the foliage pads dense and well formed.
Winter Protection: Although hardy, protecting the tree from extreme cold and frost is advisable, especially for container-grown specimens.
