Lloyd has been meticulously cultivating this specimen bonsai tree for over 30 years, resulting in a truly sensational design. Pot growing, as opposed to field growing, significantly influences the development of the bonsai, producing a remarkable trunk taper and overall superior quality.
Growing a bonsai tree in a pot, rather than in the ground, yields different results due to the controlled environment it provides. Pot growing restricts root growth, which in turn limits the tree’s overall growth. This slower growth rate allows for more precise shaping and styling, resulting in a bonsai with a refined and elegant appearance.
In contrast, field growing allows the tree to grow more rapidly due to the unrestricted root space.
