This is a beautifully shaped and styled Chinese Sweet Plum bonsai, also known as the Sageretia theezans. The trunk has a wonderful s-shaped trunk with craggy textured red-toned bark and incredible features throughout the trunk. The branches have been meticulously placed throughout the curves of the trunk. The brilliant placement has resulted in an open, even canopy! The leaves are a lush, vibrant array of green tones, which will turn a russet/red tone during warmer months. In addition to the foliage colours during summer, this variety also grows small purple plum-like fruits once mature, from around 8 years old. This specific bonsai is 15 years old.
This bonsai comes potted in a forest green oval ceramic pot, accompanied by a matching drip tray. The colour of the pot perfectly enhances the vibrancy of the leaves whilst complimenting most interior décor!
