This is a pretty young premium range bonsai. The Fukien Tea Tree, or Carmona microphylla, is a flowering variety of bonsai commonly recognised by its cream-coloured and very textured bark with glossy green leaves.
This particular bonsai is 10 years old therefore it still has a lot of growing to do, but the foundation is already there!
The trunk has a lovely twisty shape with gentle curves as well as a more accentuated curve at the base. The bark has excellent texture and features running throughout the length. It is full of character!
As well as a beautifully designed trunk, the branches are well spread out and they are filled with lush green leaves. There is a mixture of deeper toned and lighter toned green which perfectly enhance the summer white flowers!
