The Art of Bonsai

What is a bonsai Tree?

A bonsai is a small tree in a pot. The word ‘bonsai’ literally translates to ‘potted tree’. However, a bonsai is also a work of art, one which is never finished. Over many years, each tree is skilfully styled and trained, from the branches, to the trunk, and even the roots. This is a lengthy and delicate process, but is more than worth it! Each little tree is styled of a fully-grown one; when we are out on a walk, we are constantly looking at the mature beauties that can be found everywhere, and we bring the very best bits to our bonsai.

A bonsai tree is a tiny tree that we grow in a pot. We create them by styling. Using techniques such as carefully trimming, wiring and shaping the tree to look small and beautiful.

A Bonsai is a Living Piece of Art

Having a bonsai in your home or garden adds a touch of calm and nature. It’s like having a living piece of art. The small tree can bring a sense of peace and relaxation. Plus, taking care of a bonsai is a bit like having a special plant friend. You water it, make sure it gets sunlight, and enjoy watching it grow. It’s a simple way to bring a bit of the outdoors into your living space.

However, buying a bonsai is just the beginning. Once you have received your new house-mate, you can continue to work with it to create your perfect bonsai.
